Comments on the blogs at omeriqbal.com are moderated. The aim of the blogs is to encourage users to comment, and bring thoughtful insight into the issues related to posts. As a result, criticism of the arguments posed in the articles and opposition to the opinions cited therein is encouraged.

In order to get maximum value out of this feature, general sweeping statements, unsubstantiated major claims, whether in favor or against, will generally not be published. The aim is to encourage an academic style investigation instead of a forum style discussion - the former substantiating claims with arguments and sources while the latter attempting to present personal opinions and generalizations without thoughtful analysis.

At the same time, repeated arguments, whether by the same reader or a different one, are generally avoided. Similarly, personal attacks, abuse, vulgarity, obscenity, and commercial promotions will not be approved.

Comments are generally not edited except to sometimes fix punctuation, spellings etc. Comment will generally appear at the end of the post to which it is made and it may be quoted in my articles, or excerpts posted on other pages.

In the end, approving a comment is a subjective exercise and some comments will be rejected if they do not seem to bring value to the subject being discussed.
